The speech enhancement works well. We purchased the Orbaudio speakers for our new SONY TV We discovered that the TV has its own speech enhancement mode AND y to he snooty to program the relative amplitude of the the frequency spectrum. Love❤️ the Orb speakers this is my second set .I was so impressed I took first one to my second home.I ordered a second one for my main home. THE CLEAR SOUNDS OF PEOPLE TALKING WAS AMAZING.I thought my hearing was going also my wife would look at me and say what did they say.I had tried 3 other sound bars but none performed like the orb .Gary helped with a setup and all is good

Overall, we both love the sound, this is the second system we have installed on our TV’s and it’s so much better than your typical sound bar. Now for the downside, we seem to lose audio on certain streaming apps for no apparent reason. I’ve checked the settings on our TV and all is as it should be. Later, the sound may or may not return as normal. I don’t know that even Orb yet has a reason for this happening. When contacted, their support person was very quick to respond, offered suggestions to look at, and asked to be advised on future issues.

As with all Orb products, and I’ve owned them for years, this system performed better than advertised. But the best part of the experience, was dealing with their customer service people. In this category, they can’t be beat.

I needed to find a much better sound system than the Bose we had been using for more than 5 years. My husband wears hearing aids and the louder we turned up the Bose the background noise continued to drown out the vocals. We needed just what OrbAudio delivers with the ability to enhance the vocals and dampen down the background noises. It has made a big difference in his TV listening as well as mine. I am to have found a reasonably priced, audio system that truly enhances the sound quality for those who are hard of hearing.

Immediate improvement. I needed help with because of my tv settings. Customer service was quick and courteous. I highly recommend this speaker if you want to hear the dialogue over the music!

Makes a great amp for 2 channel stereo! Use Orb speakers and this amp, along with a subwoofer or two to make a great combo for classic 2 channel stereo! Make an equilateral triangle with the speakers, and with the Orb's pointed at you, placed well in your room, and you will achieve a stereo image that will impress! Everyone seems to be using these for home theatre, but its a terrific set-up for a music listening room.

Terrific sound clarity and A+ customer service. After buying a new TV i was very disappointed in the lack of sound clarity. Today I just hooked up my new Orb Audio speakers and booster (with help from Gary in customer service). I needed extra help, though there are very good videos on the Orb site that demonstrate how to hook everything up (probably more than enough info for most people). After unpacking the box and looking at the instructions I was a bit baffled so I went to the website, which welcomed people to call for help. "We love speaking with our customers," -- what websites say that! So I called with some rather silly questions, I'm sure, but they were not treated as silly and I was treated with patience and respect. Now I can hear dialogue so clearly, even at low volume. And the overall sound quality is excellent. Guess you can tell I am really happy with the purchase.

I've owned my Orb Soundbar Alternative for about three years now and have been very happy with them. Though I have a large room to fill (16x21 with 9ft ceilings and an opening to our kitchen and stairwell), I didn't have much space for a conventional stereo system or soundbar. I strictly use the Orb's for sound and don't bother with the sound from my OLED TV. Due to my limited space, the Orbs were the only option that fit cosmetically and sounded good. I bought the stainless steel version and think they look beautiful. The extra cost is well worth it, especially if it’s prominently placed on a fireplace mantle, like us.

These are the best speakers for voice enhancement. I was very surprised when I got these. Small, how can they work? Well they do, and work exceptionally well. No more fading voices or loud music over voices, this speaker system sorts it out and does it very well. They are well made and directions are very good. I put it together in 5 minutes. Sound quality is great and I recommend them to everyone.

Hear the dialogue again. We were playing the tv at high volume and still couldn't understand the dialogue. We bought the basic set: box, remote, and two speakers, and we are very happy with it

These look great, sound great, and can be placed where they will sound best in your room, why would you want anything else? AND amazing support - I emailed them with a question I couldn't figure out from their website and got an answer in hours, friendly and helpful. Buy 'em.

When my Polk Surround Bar started failing, I thought I would just replace it with another sound bar. After searching high and low I came across the Orb Audio Booster Basic system which is the “un-soundbar” of soundbars. Clear dialog was the highest priority and these speakers do not disappoint. There is a dialog enhancing feature called EZ Voice but I find it’s not really needed as the regular mode already has amazingly clear dialog. Setup took about 20 minutes and is very easy if you have ever hooked up a pair of speakers before. Read the included instructions as it covers almost every common mistake that could be made. In terms of looks these speakers are very stylish yet unobtrusive and should fit with almost any décor. Other factors that helped me choose the Orb vs. other surround bar systems. The speaker enclosures are made and assembled in the USA. It’s great to see a small company not outsourcing this work overseas. Customer support is fantastic. If you call their number, one of the two owners of the company will call you back. After speaking to them you can tell they care passionately about their product and their customers. For those who are interested in the technical details, the booster is essentially a 50W integrated class D amp with optical and mini-plug inputs. The speakers are connected to the booster with the included speaker wire and have a frequency response of 120Hz-18KHz. I added a Yamaha sub-woofer for extra bass which connects to the Booster sub out. A few things to note. The optical input can only accept PCM so any other digital format like Dolby Digital will not work. I connected my old Pioneer plasma via the analog output so I needed a separate RCA to mini-plug cable which I had on hand. In terms of a feature enhancement my only request would be to have the Booster include a learning mode so I could reuse my existing remote for volume and power. The included remote works just fine but is yet another remote I need to manage. So if you want great sound and stylish looks look no further. You will be happy with the Orb Audio system.

Great style and sound, easy installation! Couldn't fit a soundbar below TV and had small space on either side for bookshelf speaker as well as in need of amp. I hid the Orb boost behind the TV (did have to add $10 IR extender) and hooked up through optical sound. Installation a breeze and synced to my xfinity remote no problem. Much more robust sound and clear dialogue, lack of bass but that's where a subwoofer could come in but wasn't looking for that. Sound fills the room easily.

They're the best. I am so pleased with thee speakers. My favorite thing is the size. hey are small - taking up no room at all next to my TV. As soon as I can, I plan to upgrade with a sub-woofer. The day I installed them (a Sunday|) I needed to call to clarify something. Lo and behold, I was talking to one of the owners of the company. He was extremely helpful. answered ,y question,. and was incredibly patient and pleasant. I'm so happy I ran into these.

Fights above it's weight class. I used these speakers to add better sound to our kitchen which has in-ceiling speakers in one end. They connect to a Tivo and TV. I did not buy them for musical ability, but to get better TV sound. When I first hooked them up, I noticed better clarity in voice. As they "burned in" they sounded better and better. I finally disconnected the in-ceiling speakers and use just the Orbs. They fill the entire area. They will never match my $5K main system, but they are more than adequate for their intended use. I can see them being the main system in a small apartment paired with a small subwoofer. Highly recommended - with the booster. As an added bonus, they come with a Bluetooth dongle so you can send tunes from your iPhone to the Booster and then out to the speakers. Apartment dwellers, your search is over. Small, almost invisible, good sound reasonable price.

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and have a HDTV over the fridge. We also stream a lot of audio programs, so when I read about the audio qualities of the Orb system I took the plunge and I and my family are so please with the audio quality. All the appliances in the kitchen and the bezel on the TV are white, and the whole Orb system was available in white. The customer support from Orb (I ordered direct from them) was great, thanks Gary & Will. I would highly recommend Orb as it fulfills it's technical/functional promise and the finish is aesthetically pleasing.

Wow! Finally! I can hear all the dialog now. This amp and speakers works precisely as advertised...I'm quite impressed and doubted I would be. I've tried three soundbars, including ZVox SB400 but it seems all they did was amplify the muddled dialog and left me frustrated. Using the voice enhancement feature on this unit raises the speech frequencies amplitude above the background crap including crowd noise during football games and every word is heard clearly. It's pricey, but they claim it's 100% American made (definite plus) and is already severely reducing my level of frustration with watching TV.

Fabulous Product & Incredible Customer Service. These speakers are wonderful, especially for anyone with a hearing problem. I recently purchased another set for upstairs, as the audio from my large-screen TV in our sunroom was bouncing off the back wall and making it difficult to understand what was being said. The EZ Voice enables me to hear the dialog, while tamping down the background noise. And, in this age of horrendous customer service, you can actually speak to the owner who is always ready to assist you. I am so happy that my son-in-law, a big fan of ORB, told me about this product and company.

Unique and awesome! Let me start by saying that while I do strongly rely on customer reviews to make purchasing decisions, I don’t generally take the time myself to review products in depth. In this case however, I feel my experience with Orb Audio is worthy of my extra effort to promote it’s unique product offering and small company feel and in a market dominated by overpriced mass produced mediocrity. If I’m being honest, my opinion on audio equipment is pretty much based on knowing which companies make the cheapest and most expensive products and assuming the most expensive ones are the best. Admittedly, I’m sure my ears hear quality based on knowing how much things cost! These aren’t necessarily bad assumptions to make, but they would always lead me to buy from the big name companies and just assume that I got what I paid for. I found myself in unfamiliar territory when I upgraded the television in our open floor plan living room above our fireplace. We never liked the way a big black rectangle looked above the primary focal point of our living space, so we took the plunge on a Samsung Frame TV that looks like art hanging on the wall while it’s not being watched. The TV is awesome but it came with some unique audio challenges that I didn’t anticipate. Because the TV has a no gap wall mounting system, the power supply behind the TV was no longer accessible to power an audio source on top of the fireplace mantle. Also, all of the inputs and outputs for the TV are connected with one clear fiber optic cable to a source box in a discrete place about 10 feet from the TV. I was previously using a Polk Audio sound bar that would no longer be an option aesthetically much less now from a set up standpoint. I hated the idea of using the TV speakers for movies and I felt desperate to get stereo quality music back into our main living area. To do this, I had two main points of criteria that had to be met. First was a small, slim amplifier to fit in the tiny space I had available on my little accent table to ‘hide’ my electronics equipment. Second was a set of speakers small enough and good looking enough to place on our mantle. I took my search to web and it wasn’t looking good. The small amplifier market was very shy on options and none were reviewed very well by the customers who had purchased them. Until I came across the Orb Audio Booster (soundbar alternative). I was very intrigued by a true 2.1 option finally looking like a possibility for me. The receiver was exactly what I was looking for and lo and behold it has speaker options that were small and looked amazing! At first I assumed the basic white would work because our new TV has a white frame, but then I saw the polished metal options and knew they would go wonderfully with the many steel features in our home. It was worth the extra money to upgrade because they look fantastic... works of art to go go with our art TV. (Note, Amazon review says black speakers but I have polished steel) I paired the system with my 10” Polk sub woofer to save some cash but I’m sure the sub that Orb Audio pairs the system with probably sounds better. I’m thrilled with my new system. It somehow pulled off everything I was looking for that nothing else apparently could. And the sound of this little unit is in a whole different league than my old sound bar which I actually used to think sounded pretty good. Oh, and the dialogue feature actually does work! What a great accomodation for tv watching or those scenes in movies where you feel like you always need to turn up the volume to hear what they are saying. That and these two little speakers produce more clear volume than I will ever need. A big thank you to Will at Orb Audio for taking the time to answer some of my initial questions and then providing me with wonderful service and expertise after I received my order as well. I must say it was a refreshing buying experience and I can’t recommend this company or their products enough.

Better than a sound bar! Really didn’t want an ugly sound bar and frankly wasn’t happy with performance of our other sound bars. Did my research and read customer reviews and chose the Orb speakers and mini subwoofer. The audio enhancement solved a problem where my wife could not hear dialog well. Programming our Xfinity cable remote was easy using the code on the Orb Audio website. You still need their remote to activate dialog enhancement howerever. Setup was easy piecey. I like the product is American made by an employee-owned company. The longer you play the speakers the better the sound. Remember to set Dolby 5.1 to PCM on all your devices to avoid the loud popping sound. Protect your investment by using surge suppressors.

Five Stars. Strongly recommend this BOOSTER SYSTEM - it enhances TV audio sound/dialogue 100%. Better than any soundbar on the market.

Stereo TV sound from Soundbar Alternative. I wanted a sound bar for my recently purchased a 32" Samsung Smart TV and happened upon a reference to Orb speakers as a sound bar alternative. After reviewing information on Amazon, the Orb site, and in YouTube videos, I ordered and received the "Orb Audio Booster Basic Micro Soundbar and TV Stereo Speaker System with Bluetooth and Dialogue Enhance" on December 30, 2017. Detailed instructions mainly in pictorial format were shipped with a small remote control and necessary wiring to connect the speakers and amplifier to my TV which was done with an included optical cable. Older TVs may require additional cables as explained in the instructions. Connections took perhaps 20 minutes. After turning the TV speakers off, volume adjustments were made with the Orb remote control. An emblem on the remote is entitled Dialog Boost. From the instructions - "this feature works by reducing background sounds to isolate the dialogue for better clarity." And it does! The sound quality from the speakers is excellent, and the ability to place them at variable distances from each other as desired creates a true stereo sound not possible with the TV speakers or what would be possible with a short soundbar. Also, once initial volume is set, there is not a need to continually adjust volume throughout an evening of viewing. I am quite pleased with this purchase.

Works great. The orb works great. I have problems with many tv shows because the background music is too loud or there is too much background noise, in any case the orb with the noise reducer helped to eliminate those background distractions, and I can hear the talking better. Also the speakers are much clearer than the one on the tv and can be positioned for the best sound and hearing. Great product!

America you don't need Trump to make America great again. Orb Audio is already doing it! I'm an Aussie and ordered a small speaker and sub package to pair with a new Denon AVR a few years ago. At that time I even bought the stylish BOSS desk stands and later HOSS floor stands. I was so impressed with the speakers and sub than over time I bought more and now have a 5.1 surround sound system with 12 speakers. Driven by any good AVR the speakers produce a fullness of sound with impressive clarity and accuracy for voices and dialogue. Which is especially great if as I did for this purchase and review, you want a better audio solution for you large screen TV. This Booster Basic package from Orb Audio delivers the same great enhanced sound for my TV viewing as the 12 speakers which make my fully spec'd surround sound system system. HiFi is ridiculously expensive here so I tell everyone I know in Australia about Orb Audio. The customer service and if you require any, advice is second to none. So as we say down under 'do you yourself a favour' and buy Orb.

High Quality - Easty Set Up - Top Shelf Support. I love Orb Audio Products - I just purchased this set up [direct - not realizing it was on Amazon] for our bedroom. It's perfect and the dialogue boost is awesome. I cannot say enough good things about the company, the quality of the product and the support and service of the people at Orb. they clearly are passionate about their product and helping customers with set up. This purchase was our second - We purchased a 7.1 setup for our TV room about 4 or 5 years ago. awesome - minimalist contemporary design and clear distinct sound - you'll not go wrong with this choice.

Thoughtful, chic design. Sound great! The most beautifully designed speakers you will ever find. The most helpful, patient and kind customer service you will ever experience. I am not an audiophile but I know my t.v., movies, and music sound a million times better than they did without them. Orb also gives you the option to build a home theater gradually by adding speakers as you learn what suits your needs. Their incredibly minimalist, chic design does not in any way sacrifice an equally incredible sound! And I know if I were to have any issues in the future, I am a phone call away from someone who cares about the product and will be eager to help me resolve the problem.

When you use the voice booster button on the remote it amazes me how much clarity is gained in the dialogue of the show being watched. I am going to buy one for my home also. The customer service is also outstanding, Gary went above expectations to help me figure out how to use wireless headphones with this system. Once we heard how nice the sound is and how clear the dialogue, we decided to send the headphones back! The icing on the cake is this system is small and hardly takes up any space! The speakers remind me of the old stereo systems- excellent sound in a small package.
