The PSW111's high-current, 150-watt amp effortlessly drives an 8" woofer for dynamic low-frequency effects. And this compact subwoofer sports a new, more powerful driver design to deliver deeper, louder, and punchier bass than previous Polk subs. Special circuitry inside the amp and a solid MDF cabinet with internal bracings ensure clean, detailed lows, even when you crank up the volume.

I bought my Orbs quite a long time ago, along with a Super 8 200W subwoofer, and although the Mod 2s are still sounding great, my sub conked out recently, refusing to power up. I was a little disappointed that Orb no longer sells their own subs, but their offering of the Polk Audio PSW111 was welcomed, as Polk is a trusted brand and the unit matched the form factor of the Super 8 pretty well, and is performing beautifully.

My original ORB subwoofer died on me. The Polk PSW 111 subwoofer complements my ORB home theater system seamlessly. The one difference was my old subwoofer only had a single cable input while the Polk subwoofer needs 2 inputs, a left and right, to be connected. I was able to buy a cable splitter which worked flawlessly without having to run new cable inputs

My system is close to 20 years old. The sub and receiver is all that needed replaced. The speakers are mounted on the ceiling with awesome American made mounts. Sad people people pay so much more money and get less. Funny these will out live me. Proud to be an American and proud to buy American. The quality is awesome. Side note quality speaker wire does make a huge difference. Considering you are purchasing a high quality unit don’t go cheap on wire. Michael

I bought my ORB system in 2007. It is great, small, but with big sound. We used it in our TV room with an AV receiver. Admittedly, the originally subwoofer never really seemed to work correctly, always had a hard buzz to it. Finally, I had had enough of the subwoofer so, 14+ years later I contacted ORB about getting it fixed or replaced. I honestly didnt even know if the company was still around! The response I got was immediate, friendly, and helpful. Although the sub was WAAYY put of warranty, they offered a updated model that was a drop in replacement and within moments of the box arriving, the system was sounding smooth as glass again. In this day and age, to receive that type of excellent customer service is a diamond in the rough. In this world of soundbars, would recommend you give these unique systems a try for an amazing sound experience and customer service that is second to none.
